Born as Lucille Fay LeSueur, Joan Crawford was the daughter of Thomas E. and Anna Bell. She was born in 1904 in San Antonio, Texas. Her father was a laundry worker. She was raised by her mother and stepfather. She didn’t receive education after her primary school. She wanted to become a dancer, however, she cut her foot and wasn’t able to dance for 18 months.
Although she went to Stephens College, she realized that she was not ready for college. She died on May 10, 1977, after having a severe heart attack. Her memorial service was held on 16 May 1977 in New York.
