Shelley Alexis Duvall are her official names which she was given by her parents after giving birth to her on 7th July 1949 in Texas, U.S. Her father Robert Richardson Duvall used to work as a cattle auctioneer before changing his career and became a lawyer.
Her mother Bobbie Ruth Crawford on the other hand used to work as a real estate broker. Both her parents lived to their old age with her dad having died at the age of 75 while her mother died aged 91 years.
